Meet Chris

Christopher Scott

I live in Mirror, where my family runs The Whistle Stop Café, a truck stop with a restaurant, a convenience store, fuel and an RV park. We've had it since 2019.

I've worked in the oil and gas industry since 2001. I started as a service rig hand working across Alberta, Saskatchewan and BC, and went on to be a wellsite supervisor, an oilfield contractor, a business owner, and a completions and workover superintendent, including work overseas.

For the last several years I've volunteered in Alberta's public conversation about our future. I chair Let's Talk Alberta and I'm a director of the Alberta Prosperity Society. People know where I stand. I'm not hiding it.

Where I stand

My views on Alberta's future are public, and they haven't changed.

A director's job is different. At the board table I answer to the party and every member in it, however they voted on October 19.

I'll stay focused on the mandate Albertans have given us to work toward Alberta sovereignty within Canada, the principle behind the Alberta Sovereignty within a United Canada Act. And I'll never back down on my personal convictions.

Straight answers, live

I host my own podcast. I talk to people every week, I take the hard questions, and I don't script it.

If you want to know what I think about something, ask me. You'll get an answer.
